Gotta have it's

Well we went to the 'strictly sail' show this last weekend, boy did we learn allot, we checked out alotta boats, new and used, it was fun. We went to the 'Latitudes & Attitudes' party on Saturday night, it was sooo fun, it wasn't as cold as it was last year, and boy there were a ton of people there. Bob Bitchin said that there were more people at this weekends party, than there was at the party in Florida!!! I know i learned alot about what we are looking for in our next boat, and the options, and the features, and the 'Gotta have it's' . The Captain is working on finishing the bottom of the boat, he's had to sand deeper than we thought, there's more, deeper blisters, than thought, i can't wait till it's done, and we are sailing. ;~} Bunkmate

What Lies in the Wake ...

Well, this my first with these so we will see how it goes. The bottom of SIMPLICITY has turned into Pandora's Box once we got down to it (boats are always attention hogs, just holes in the water to throw money in right... just kiddin Simplicity). Looks like others before have repaired blisters as well so she needs to have the bottom shaved and re-epoxied ... but we are hoping to repair the blisters as well as possible and get our couple of years in with her before that's a must!

She now has a new high thrust motor, batteries, tiller, ice box, boom kicker, boom vang, drawers, bottom job, and many little jobs, plus a few more to wrap up ... and we should be about good and ready for some adventure.

We plan to moor her in Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes Washington as the Latts & Atts NW Cruisers Party is there and it will make a perfect jump point to the San Juans for the rest of the summer. This will also let us spend more time in the reaches of the outer islands and possibly wander up into the lower Gulf Islands of Canada or visit the capital of Victoria. Should be pretty kewl!
Plans from there are subject to the outcome from this summers adventures, just have to see what lies in the wake ...
